Artwork Styles
Choose the Aesthetic That Matches Your Life
Your heraldry can be completed in multiple illustration styles, and your choice impacts how the artwork can be reproduced across materials.
Hand Illustrated, Organic
Fine-art linework with heritage movement—ideal for stationery, printed pieces, and a classic collected feel.
Hand Illustrated, Clean
Crisp, understated, and highly versatile—excellent for modern reproduction and brand-like applications.
Watercolor Heraldry
Romantic, painterly, and beautiful on paper goods and select printed items—but with more reproduction limitations than linework styles.
* Watercolor is best when the primary goal is printed paper goods (and you’re not planning embroidery, engraving, or letterpress).
The Design Process
A Collaboration, Not a Template
We begin with conversation and references : your story, your taste, your symbolism. You can share verbally, through visuals, or both.
I The Proposal
Custom crests, logos, and monograms are a set-fee project. Once you choose to move forward, you’ll reserve your project with payment and onboarding.
II Setting the Date
You’ll receive a simple timeline with target dates—so you always know when to expect proofs and final delivery.
III Proofs + Refinement
Your first proof includes 1–3 options that respond directly to our conversation. You’ll tell me what feels right, what to adjust, and what direction to pursue.
You may share a reference you found, a quick sketch, or simply your thoughts—then we refine through subsequent proofs (up to three rounds) until final.
IV Final Sign-Off + Delivery
Once approved, your final files are delivered in high/low resolution formats for practical use.
*Proofreading matters, especially for names, dates, and motto text. I recommend a second set of eyes before final sign-off.
